Harvard ARTS FIRST Festival
On Exhibition 2-5 May, 2019
Harvard Smith Center Ground Floor
Passage of Time
Imitating the mountains and the waves with its layered curvilinear geometry, the art piece evokes sentiments related to the passage of time and the dimension of life. The rippled layers transmit the tranquility of a Zen garden into the vibrant campus center.
The installation is at an approachable human scale, and people are invited to walk around it to feel the three-dimensionality and spatiality. It is positioned at a key stair point in Harvard Smith Center, where the spectators can view the project from different angles and distances.
This installation is selected for the Harvard ARTS FIRST Festival, and is exhibited on May 2-5, 2019. ARTS FIRST is Harvard's annual showcase of student and faculty creativity. Produced by the Office for the Arts, with support from the Board of Overseers of Harvard University, the festival is a public event with many free performances and activities for Harvard and community members of all ages.
